Note: "The widow of Jan Arends had it hard when her husband died. There was a good bussines; eleven weeks after her husband death there was a new baby. In 1942 the Germans in Holland made her move out with several others in that neighbourhood. There was a $10,000 loss and they suffered from hunger and cold like a good many others did. After she struggled seven year as widow she married again in 1944 and then became her condition a little better."
